Bulimia Nervosa is an eating disorder that is the opposite of anorexia nervosa, although there are some similarities. Bulimia signs include periods of bingeing and fasting, of overeating and purging. Just like other eating disorders, there are many bulimia signs that can be difficult to assess at first. It will be after the eating disorder is more developed that you will be able to recognize the bulimia signs better. And like other eating disorders, bulimia has several health hazards, including peptic ulcers, infertility, and inflammation of the esophagus, dental erosion and dehydration. Severe health problems include muscle weakness, tetany, cardiac arrhythmias and epileptic seizures. Bulimia can also cause kidney failure and eventually death.
